Melodic Dictation

My idea behind this was to start early but most of the melodic dictation exercises would come later on during the year, possibly after this topic. That is why I only made two, compared to the sight singing exercises. However if you do wish to use more aural listening exercises at this part, you can either use any unused sight singing exercises as melodic dictation or the Karpinski Manual for Sight Singing and Ear Training. When creating the first exercise, I thought this would come after learning intervals and possibly after the easier sight singing exercises. Also, melodic dictation exercises generally require multiple playings and do take up more lesson time than interval and sight singing exercises. Here is an example of what would be given to the student:
